About Pre-School

Radwinter Pre-School was established in 1979 and is a thriving, friendly learning place for children aged from two to five years. We are based in Hempstead Village Hall and maintain excellent links with Radwinter Primary School.

At Pre-School all children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace. Our method is “learning through play” with every play activity structured to lead towards The National Curriculum Council’s Early Learning Goals.

The Glebe We organise our sessions so that the children can choose from – and work at – a wide range of activities. They also take part in adult-led small and large group activities, which introduce them to new experiences and help them to learn new skills. We also benefit from a specially constructed outdoor area, with an all weather surface, and access to the grassed area (The Glebe) behind the hall, which allows our children time for outdoor play every day. The Pre-School is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am to 1.00pm, with the children bringing their own packed lunches to eat at the end of the session. Fees are £11.00 per session. We are registered to accept government nursery education funding for children from three years old.
Our excellent staff are all fully qualified and operate a key person system, which gives each staff member personal responsibility for just a few children.
If you would like more information or to arrange a visit, please contact Claire Norris on 07989 166630 or during pre-school hours at the Village Hall on 01799 599797.
