Hempstead Village Hall applied for funding in April to provide one hundred new padded chairs and window blinds made from fireproof material to replace all the curtains. The application was successful and the full cost of our project has been funded by Grassroots Grants, which is funded by the Office of the Third Sector.

Hempstead Village Hall in Essex, is a modern, warm and comfortable venue. Fully equipped and double glazed throughout.

In 1999 Hempstead Village Hall was refurbished and extended with the aid of grants from the National Lottery Charities Board, ECC, Essex Environmental Trust, UDC, and Hempstead Parish Council.

The Hall has a large main hall with stage and smaller side room which can be opened up to create one area for larger events, together with a modern commercial type kitchen.

Hempstead Village Hall is held in a charitable Trust administered by a Management Committee of eleven members who are its Managing Trustees. Village organisations nominate seven members and four members are elected, all are appointed at an AGM held each October for a period until the next AGM. Custodian Trustee of the Trust is Hempstead Parish Council which holds title to the Trust's property on behalf of the Managing Trustees.
